Defence Transport Heritage of Tasmania

The DEFENCE TRANSPORT HERITAGE was conceived circa 2003 with the aim of providing a forum for persons interested in Restoring, Preserving, Using and Displaying ex Military Vehicles and their associated equipment. The Heritage is not a Para- Military organisation, and in no way glorifies or supports war.

Membership is directed mainly towards the Tasmanian North and Northwest. The Heritage communicates with other like interest groups in most mainland states, and produces a quality quarterly Newsletter.

Membership is $25.00 for the first year and includes a cloth badge. New members are always welcome, vehicle ownership is not mandatory. Members vehicles currently total 16 units.

The Heritage is keen to follow up on any information as to the whereabouts of any vehicles, parts, uniforms or equipment to enhance displays and preserve our history.

The heritage would also like to acknowledge the support of Ritche & Parker Alfred Green & Co for allowing us to put our website on their server until we moved to our own hosting in mid 2009. Contact details for them can be found on the links page.
